I'm Bandit. I have a website. I'm kind of a big deal.

We’re located in Ontario, Canada, so many of the links will be local to this area. Big box stores like Pet Smart don’t have what you need if you have a medium to large parrot. You’ll need stores that specialize in birds. The following are Bandit Approved.

Glitter Pets is a great place to buy cages. We’ve bought three over the years from them. They also sell toys, perches, stands, and food. Bandit’s main home is the 40″ Large Dome Top Parrot Cage from Glitter Pets.

Aves is a great source for food, breeding supplies and birds. The owner is very knowledgeable about birds and can guide you if you need help with what your bird needs.

This is a fantastic bird-centered shop. These people know birds. They have all the toys your bird could dream of, parts to rebuild toys, cages, travel accessories, and yes, they also have birds. The are in western Ontario but you can inquire about shipping.

We buy a lot straight from Zoo-Max. They have a great selection on toys for larger birds, toy parts to rebuild and generally have a few items at half off. They give you lots of shipping options and the lowest always seems to be GLS and they’re great, they’ve always delivered within a day or two.

They make awesome perches. Let them know what you need and they’ll custom make a stand or hanging perch for your bird that’s safe and natural. Like java trees but they’re made from apple wood.

Dr. Emms is exceptional if your bird has a serious medical issue, but during business hours. If you have to take your bird to an emergency vet, I would suggest you still do a follow up when Ivy is open. Dr. Emms will find things other vets miss. She’s that good with birds and can do anything right up to a surgery if needed.

North Simcoe is great for beak trims and wing clipping. They’re not equipped for medical emergencies but for grooming needs, they are very reasonable with their pricing and they’re gentle and caring with your bird.
